Tell us about Zambrero
Zambrero is Mexican with a mission. We are part of an Australian based franchise group committed to tackling world hunger through its Plate 4 Plate initiative. For every burrito or bowl purchased at Zambrero, a plate of food is donated to someone in need.
Zambrero’s menu is healthy, modern Mexican with burritos, tacos, nachos and quesadillas all made with the freshest ingredients and fresh ideas. We offer dine in or take away, we are fully licensed and family friendly. We also offer plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.
How long have you been open?
We opened the Zambrero Mildura store in late August this year.
Why did you open the restaurant?
My business partner and I have a background in retail, however we were looking for a change. We were familiar with the Zambrero brand and thought it would deliver a unique offering that didn’t currently exist in Mildura.
What’s a point of different about your restaurant?
We loved the humanitarian side of the business – the fact that it gives back to those in need. Everything we offer also has a strong focus on fresh and healthy. At Zambrero you will find slow cooked meats and salads which are hand-made on site, fresh for service.
Why did you choose Mildura City Heart?
When searching for a location, we knew we wanted to be in the heart of Mildura and part of the city’s thriving dining culture. Our location caters perfectly for those dining in, as well as providing easy access for those getting take-away meals with plenty of parking on Eighth Street.
What’s your favourite thing about Mildura City Heart precinct?
Mildura City Heart boasts one of the best regional dining precincts within Australia – we are excited to be part of that.
