Evolution has been the key to business success fo Silvana Palazzo and her store Mon Parfumerie.
A former banker and officer worker, Silvana decided she needed a change 14 years ago, put in her bid for the shop in Eighth Street, and has not looked back.
“Once I was here it felt like it was what I was meant to be doing,” she says.
Silvana says the boutique store originally focused on fragrances, giftware and jewellery, and she has since expanded the range to also include ladies’ clothing, bags, accessories, shoes, L’Occitane en Provence skin and body care products.
“You’ve got to expand, adapt and evolve,” she says.
“Our customers love that we constantly add exclusive products with a point of difference and can always expect to receive the best advice and customer service.”
While she enjoys sourcing new products to bring to her customers, Silvana says the business is all about the people she interacts with on a daily basis.
“I love the people who come in. I’ve got lovely customers who I’ve made friends with over the years,” she says.
“A lot of people love to come into the City Heart. They know they’ll get personalised service and a positive shopping experience.”
